sight seeing, transport, excursion tours, photography
& video filming permission, guide map, loss of
documents.
- It is advisable to avail prepaid taxis/auto rickshaws,
pay as per fare chart.
- Always hire a govt. approved tourist guide who invariably
carry an identity card.
- Shop at govt. emporias/fixed price shops to ensure
quality & reasonable prices.
- Change money only at authorised foreign exchange
outlets/banks/hotels & insist on receipt for money
changed.
- STD/ISD/PCO facilities are available throughout
with Yellow sign boards.
- For medical assistance contact local hotel or accredited
hospital/nursing home.
- Observe local tradition/customs while visiting religious
places.
- There is prohibition on liquor in Gujarat, however
permits are available for tourist from Ahmedabad airport
counter of Tourism Corporation of Gujarat Ltd.
